It seems that lately God has really been talking to me about words. Words are part of life. You know they are our first form of communication. As a mother of a deaf child it is interesting seeing how things are stacked against those that are deaf.
But where am I going with this. Well, there is two things I feel to reveal that has been on my heart.
1) how often we accept words from a prophet over our lives
2) Taylor Swifts song “Shake it off”
1 John 4:1 “Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.”
Matthew 24:24 “For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones.”
Matthew 7:15-20 “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.”
My passion is to teach about the prophetic, what the prophetic is, that everyone can prophesy, but not everyone is called into the office of prophet. Being a prophetic based ministry, we find there is so little teaching out there on it, and it is so important that we understand the prophetic as so many these days are allowing anyone to speak words over them without realising the true extent.
Firstly, prophetic 101: A prophetic word is to do three things. It is to comfort, exhort and encourage. It should line up with what you are praying about, reading about or your spirit man will confirm. Anything other than that, you need to shake it off, shake it off.
We had a member from our group message us really rather confused, she had gone to a church meeting and had been called out to the front and told she was a Jezebel. Ummmm What the!!! Our God is a God of love, not a God of that. He will never ever ever embarrass you. So many these days are prophesying in the wrong spirit, and she was so upset. Where is the exhortation, encouragement, or comfort??
Okay, yes God will use prophets to give words of warning, but this is done in a way that only you understand. As an example, my old pastor was ministering at a meeting. At this meeting, God showed her that there was a man (she saw his face and everything) was about to leave his wife for another woman. She said to God, What do you want me to do with this? He then showed her what to say and how to say it so that this man got the message. She explained that there was someone there that had a bus ticket, that there was a black suitcase and that God is telling this person that it’s not part of His plan in this persons life. Simple, no embarrassment, no naming and shaming, done in Love. This man knew it was about him.
But why do we allow people to speak words into our lives, because we love hearing from our Father. These days with the new age and being about to dial in a reading, Christians are getting addicted to prophetic words. It is truly scary how many times we get asked, can you tell me if Mr X is meant to be my husband? Do you have a word for me? Can you tell me if I am meant to go on a missionary trip?
I can tell you, Rhys and I will not prophesy into your relationship. Unless God shows us! We will not give a prophetic word on tap, because doing it in the flesh is a big no no. If God wants you to know something, He will get the message to you. You don’t have to chase the prophet, He can show you in the word you are reading, the person you are talking to or a sign post on the side of the road. He will get the message to you.
As I said earlier words are everywhere. The doctors, the schools, the churches. It’s how we use them that’s important. My son’s school friend was told she would never walk, by doctors. Did her Christian parents say “oh well, must be” No, they broke of those words, they shock them off, and prayed for healing. She not only walks, but runs.
My kids were watching a movie called “Sing” recently, and there was one song that really struck me. It’s by Taylor Swift, called Shake it off. I love when God shows me revelation.
So the lyrics go:
Cause the players gonna play, and the haters gonna Hate, I’m just gonna shake it off, shake it off. Heartbreakers gonna break, And the fakers gonna fake, I’m just gonna shake it off, shake it off.
Matthew 7:1-6 “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged. And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.”
I love it. How often do we gossip, and are gossip for others, how often we worry about pleasing others. You will always have those that will play you, hate you, break you and be fake to you. You just have to learn to shake it off and put on your Armour of God. It’s about making smart Godly choices, and not just trying to people please.
Words can cut deep, and even though it isn’t our intention to hurt others it happens. Recently, I have been reading a book on warfare within prayer. It’s a brilliant book, its called Armed and Dangerous by Angela Greenig. It is very eye opening into how words that we think are harmless are actually loaded. As the bible says there is power of life and death in the tongue. That the Enemy uses this as an access point.
How often we allow those words to cut us, to steal our self esteem, our calling. I recently was dong a live feed, I am still working on them as I hate being up front. Even now is pretty ahhhhhhhh. But as I was helping out Rhys one night, someone posted that all they can hear is me saying Ummmm. Wow, talk about cutting myself esteem. So I have been struggling to join Rhys again on live feed. The power of words.
I love how God works. As I am writing this Emily is asleep and Grace is watching Sesame Street, and they are singing a song. I love God confirming that He wants me to speak about this. The song chorus goes
“Be careful with the words you use, be careful with the words you say, Be careful with the words you choose. A word can hurt or make your day.”
Even though the person who wrote that I wasn’t speaking very well, didn’t realise that this would mean I would want to be less on camera. So I have to “Shake it off, shake it off” otherwise I am letting those words take control and not walking into my God destiny and letting them rob me of my calling.
So you know you going to have to join me, lets shake it off!!! Shake it off!!!

So last night I had a dream that was so very clear and vivid, I was dressed in Battle Uniform, and in the dream I was with a team of other soilders and we were in some sort of Building reconvening our battle plan for the day, then in the dream we were walking into enemy territory and was on high alert, we came across some sort of school and I remember the students and teachers waving at us so happy to see us, We felt vulnerable because we were out in the open and an easy target, but in the dream I remember feeling like I was actually on the battlefield kind of freaking out that a bullet could hit me or anyone on the team in an instant, i for a split second felt the anxiety and vulnerability of being a soldier.
My senses were on such high alert if a pin dropped I would have shot it down without hesitation.
In the dream I remember motivating the team saying something like ” Let’s DoThis”
1 Peter 5:8
New Living Translation
Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
2 Timothy 2 New Living Translation (NLT)
A Good Soldier of Christ Jesus
2 Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. 2 You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.
3 Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them. 5 And athletes cannot win the prize unless they follow the rules. 6 And hardworking farmers should be the first to enjoy the fruit of their labor. 7 Think about what I am saying. The Lord will help you understand all these things.
As a Soldier of Christ you are representing the Kingdom Of Heaven, You are entrusted to bring Heaven to Earth, the team in the dream means you are not fighting this battle alone, a lone soldier is easily captured, stay with the team, be alert and on your guard for any dart (bullet) from the enemy and remember we are not fighting flesh or blood. Ephesians 6:12
Go and take that territory for Jesus Christ and Soldier ON!!!
I Declare & Decree this July is going bring an acceleration & clarity, your season in the dry parched land is about to come to an end, I hear the Words ‘Let it Rain, Let it Rain, his Spirit is going to Rain Showers Of Mercy and Grace as you transition from the old to the new, I hear this is a new day for many of you, Clearer Road ahead for you, the fog is now disappearing and the Sunlight is breaking through!!

The Eyes of Love
Listening to One of my old favourite singers Don Francisco singing about Simon of Cyrene who was forced by the Romans to carry the cross for Jesus, That got me thinking, What a huge honour to carry the cross for Jesus Christ, To help lighten the load, ease the burden for the Son Of Man as he bore the sins of the World on his body, Imagine the eyes of Jesus piercing your soul as blood poured down his face from the crown of thorns,
How much you would desire to comfort him and say, it’s going to be ok, knowing the worst was to come, This Man, who healed so many, cast demons out of the possessed, raised the dead, opened the ears of the deaf, Healed the Lepers, calmed the storms, betrayed and disowned by his own disciples, Those who walked with him, Imagine looking into the eyes of pure Love, as he gasps for breath and reels from the pain of carrying the cross on his back after the 39 stripes from the three pronged whip, What an Honour to be asked to ease this pain for the Son Of God,
Would you carry the cross for the King of all Kings? Or Would you tell him to carry it himself?
New Living Translation
We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
